FOOD AND WELLNESS COMMUNITY

FARE Houston connects local farmers, skilled chefs, and wellness experts through in-person experiences and digital community. We believe that connection with our food, our health, and each other is in short supply and we aim to foster more connections through multiple avenues of community.

Food should bring people together. Instead, a lot of us eat alone, don't have easy access to fresh food, and treat health as something to deal with later. Starting with better food, agriculture, and renewed environments, FARE is reconnecting our isolated food systems.

FARE is a network of farmers markets, co-ops, nature-inspired wellness events, and advocacy in Houston. We are the hub that supports all the spokes in our local food economy. Food connects us to the earth, to our own health, and to each other. FARE is leaning into that connection.

FARE’s Community, Anywhere

FARE's in-person gatherings have always been about more than food. They're about connection: to the people who grow our food, cook it, and advocate for better systems. Now that connection lives online too.

The FARE Digital Community is a forum you can visit any day of the week featuring guest chef recipes, early looks at industry reports, conversations with food system experts, farm tour videos, and courses that help you eat and live well. It's the market, minus the drive.
